Our most talked-about event is back for its tenth year, and we’re not holding back. 

For a decade, Best of Beef at San Telmo has been more than a lunch, it’s been a sell-out spectacle. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the cult-favourite event, and it’s shaping up to be the most exciting yet. 

Across one high-energy weekend (Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June) two of Victoria’s finest producers go head-to-head: grain-fed Black Opal Wagyu and grass-fed O’Connor Beef. It’s richness versus purity, marbling versus minerality; and you decide the winner.

This is dining with a pulse. A five-course menu unfolds cut by cut, each dish cooked over our signature Parrilla, where charcoal and fire bring out the very best in every ingredient. After each course, paddles are raised auction-style and votes are cast, turning the room electric as the battle builds toward its final verdict.

To mark the milestone, Head Chef Dylan Perry has created a menu that honours the past while pushing forward. He consulted every former San Telmo Head Chef (Mike Patrick, Chris Moran, Marcelo Narvaez, Stephen Clark and San Telmo Group Executive Chef Oliver Gould) and drew inspiration from their most iconic dishes, while adding his signature expertise. It’s a full-circle moment that captures a decade of flavour, technique and fire.

Enhance the experience with an optional Argentinian wine pairing, plus a welcome cocktail and digestif to round out the feast.

This is a Best of Beef unlike any before it.
