In partnership with Melbourne Food and Wine Festival and The National Gallery of VictoriaBOOK NOW
Melbourne’s favourite Argentinian restaurant is off to NYC! From June 8 to October 7, National Gallery of Victoria will host a massive exhibition coming direct to us from New York’s Museum of Modern Art. Over 150 works from some of the most renowned modernist artists will be shipped over to the NGV for the exhibition. MoMA has been important in developing and collecting modernist art, and is often identified as one of the largest and most influential museums of modern art in the world.
To welcome the exhibition, Melbourne’s favourite Argentinian steakhouse is taking a trip to the Big Apple with New York Classic. As MOMA has been an institution in New York for so many decades we want to celebrate the classic style of New York City in the 70’s and deliver a hefty helping of nostalgia by recreating the menu and atmosphere of a New York steakhouse. Enjoy the old school charm surrounded by the unique San Telmo decor we all know and love while enjoying a little bit of old school cool.
The menu of a New York steakhouse is timeless, featuring dishes such as shrimp cocktail, creamed spinach, baked potatoes which all pair perfectly against the robust flavour of a well cooked steak. Head Chef Stephen Clark is so excited recreate these well known staples of the steakhouse and our Bar Manager Josh Boocock is already working on a list of cocktail classics to make the event extra special. Nothing complements a steak dinner more than an Old Fashioned
Tickets to New York Classic are $120 per person for a 5 course lunch with a drink on arrival. Exclusive 70’s classic cocktails and premium malbecs will also be on offer throughout the day.
