La Vendimia – Melbourne Food and Wine Festival Event

To celebrate our 4th year of Partnership with Melbourne Food and Wine Festival; San Telmo is hosting La Vendimia, Mendoza’s annual wine festival which includes blessings of the grapes and even fireworks. We’re passing on the fireworks – at San Telmo it’s all about the wine, served with an authentically delicious Argentinian feast. We’re presenting our own take on the festival, guiding you through the country’s incredible wine regions from Salta to Mendoza, with a few stops along the way. Accompanied by an amazing feast prepared by our award-winning kitchen team, we know you’ll fall in love with Argentina, it’s wine and food.
Head chef Steve Clark has perfectly matched 5 wines of different grape varietals matched with a 5 course lunch. “We are really excited about changing the way we normally do things. Traditionally we prepare the food and then match the drinks to it. But for this occasion we are matching the food to the drinks, which will result in some very interesting recipes.” Says Chef Clark.
