Día del Ñoqui – Gnocchi day

Italian immigrants introduced gnocchi to Argentina in the early 20th century. The dish gained popularity at the end of the month when pay-checks had run dry and locals were looking for a wholesome, filling meal to share with friends. Día del Ñoqui – Gnocchi day is still celebrated throughout Argentina on the 29th of each month:
On the last Monday of every month we are offering house made gnocchi for $19 a plate, lunch and dinner, or until we run out! So bookings are recommended. Please remember to mention the gnocchi when booking so that we can save you some! It is the perfect accompaniment for your parrilla grilled meats.
In Argentina guests leave a small donation under their plate to attract prosperity for the following month. This money is traditionally donated to charity. We will be honouring this tradition by donating $2 for every plate sold, as well as any donation left under your plate to our partner charity in Argentina; TECHO.

In 2016, we set ourselves the goal of helping fight poverty in Argentina by partnering up with TECHO.
TECHO is a youth led non-profit organisation present in Latin America. Through the collaborative work of families living in extreme poverty with youth volunteers, TECHO seeks to overcome poverty in slums. TECHO build temporary homes for families in need in rural areas in Argentina.

San Telmo has raised enough money to build 3 houses, and we need your help to build a 4th one. A home costs $2720.92 Aus dollars.
